Welcome to ClassHatch!


ClassHatch is an educational program designed to allow more classrooms in Central Iowa to experience the life cycle of hatching chicks. ClassHatch offers hatching kits that educators may check out on loan for their curriculum. There is no cost to teachers for the kits but kits must be returned so that another classroom may also enjoy the program. Kits are assigned on a first come first serve basis. A running wait list will also be kept according to first come first serve. Class rooms are responsible for finding new homes for the chicks and may utilize the Central Iowa Poultry Breeders Facebook page for that. Please make sure to read the rules on posting before you do.


ClassHatch kits include:

-12 egg incubator with instructions

-1 dozen hatching eggs

-1 brooder heat plate

-1 brooder box

-1 bale of bagged bedding

-1 set food/water containers

-1 bag of chick starter feed

-1 set of electrolyte/probiotics for chicks



Get a ClassHatch Kit

The ClassHatch  Program is owned and operated by Central Iowa Poultry Breeders LLC. Hatching kits are on a loaner program and must be returned to us at the end of your hatching season. We will clean the products and ready them for another classrooms use. Classrooms are responsible for finding placement for all baby chicks they hatch.
